This Monday, a group of seven teams of two will begin a brand-new fundraising challenge as they take on Race Across Europe in support of Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice.
Over the week, teams of two will compete to reach eight mystery cities in just eight days — racing not only against the clock, but also to raise the most money for compassionate hospice care.
Participants have been fundraising for months in preparation for the challenge, with every pound raised helping us continue to provide specialist care and support for local adults, children and families when they need it most.
Supporting them throughout the adventure will be Jane, the challenge’s dedicated Travel Counsellor, who will be waiting at each checkpoint to reveal their next destination.
Teams will meet at the hospice on Monday 5th October, where the first destination will be revealed!
The excitement has been building as teams have shared their stories, motivations and preparations ahead of departure. From long-time friends and family members to colleagues taking on an adventure together, each team has their own reason for stepping out of their comfort zone and taking on this unique challenge.
As they set off on Monday, supporters will be able to follow their progress, celebrate their successes and cheer them on every step of the way through updates on our social media channels.
We’d like to thank every participant for their incredible commitment and all of the sponsors, friends, family members and supporters who have helped them reach the starting line.
Good luck to all our Race Across Europe teams. We can’t wait to see where the journey takes you!
Follow the adventure and support the teams as they race across Europe for Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw.
