It was a pleasure to welcome the Shadow Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Wes Streeting, to visit us on Thursday, August 10th giving us the opportunity to showcase the incredible care and support provided by your hospice.
During the visit, Wes and Carlisle Labour candidate Julie Minns visited the adult in-patient ward and chatted to the team and families in Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice.
We’d like to thank Julie Minns and Wes streeting for the chance to discuss the challenges we face and sustainable funding for hospices more generally. We also highlighted some of the ways we work with and support the wider health and care system.
