We recognise the range of views held on this emotive issue as a change to the law is being considered.
Our purpose is to ensure people who live here and are diagnosed with a life-shortening illness can be supported to live according to their individual needs, until they die.
We believe this debate highlights the need to raise awareness about the services that hospices can offer – everyone should be able to access high-quality end of life care.
We currently receive around 20% of our funding from the government and the remaining money from our community through fundraising, donations and support for our shops and lottery and believe better resourcing for services supporting people at the end of life, and more joined up working is important for our community.
