Volunteers are an essential part of Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice. Whether Fundraising, Retail or in the hospice itself, volunteers are a part of everything that we do.
Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and be part of a dedicated team, ensuring that the hospice continues to provide the best level of care to patients and their families.
Update 06.06.2020 - During the COVID pandemic we took the decision to temporarily suspend Student Placements, Works Experience and the Young Volunteer Programme at Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw. We really enjoy welcoming local students from the three programmes, but were unable to offer students our usual standard of placement during this time.
Now that COVID restrictions are easing, we are looking at how we can offer student placements in a fair and manageable way. Any opportunities will be advertised on our volunteer opportunities page and can be applied for from there.
