Stars to Sunrise
You’re invited to take part in a magical walk that begins beneath the stars and ends with an unforgettable sunrise from the summit of Skiddaw!
By taking part you’ll be making a difference to local adults and children throughout Cumbria who rely on quality care and compassion.
Setting off from the Rawnsley Centre in the early hours of the morning (01.30am), you’ll head out under the stars to reach the summit for sunrise, with the expert Lakeland Mountain Guides, who will lead you safely up the Jenkin Hill path to the top of Skiddaw – England’s 4th highest mountain. We’ll descend together, and return to base for a well-earned bit of breakfast!
The Route
You’ll follow a steady but steep ascent along a clear track, covering approximately 10 miles with 920m elevation. This event is in conjunction with Lakeland Mountain Guides and the walk will be fully guided by their experts making it accessible for most physically fit walkers.
The full event typically lasts 6-7 hours.

- Option of purchasing a t-shirt, which can be done via the registration form
