Living Well Services

We hold regular family support days here at the hospice for all our Jigsaw families. The day is filled with activities centred around the children and young adults as well as classes for parents and carers.

The events also allow parents, siblings and carers to look around Jigsaw and see how we care for their child.

Our baby and toddler group is held at Jigsaw on the last Thursday of each month from 10am to 12pm

The free ‘play and stay’ sessions are aimed at babies and young children with life-limiting illnesses or complex medical health needs who haven’t yet started school. Parents, family members, carers and siblings all welcome to attend.

Our Saturday Social Club is for over 16s living with a life shortening condition. Sessions are held every other month at Jigsaw and are fun, interactive and led by the young adult.

Our Eden Valley Hospice team hold a number of events out in the local community each week for those who are living with bereavement.

• Walk and Talk Group is held fortnightly rotating between Chances Park in Morton, Carlisle and Hammond’s Pond, Carlisle. There is no referral needed just come and have a walk with the option of a cuppa at the end.
• Comfort Cafes are held fortnightly rotating between Brampton and Wigton there is no need for referral, just join us for a cuppa and a chat and meet people who know how you are feeling.

Our team at Eden Valley Hospice offer Living Well Services to support adults living with life-limiting illnesses as well as their families, friends and carers.
