Earlier this month Jigsaw hosted a visit from Nick Carroll the Chief Executive of Together For Short Lives which supports children’s hospices.
It was great to chat about the complexities of operating and delivering care in such a large and diverse and county, and ultimately how we can continue to work together to ensure the children and young people we care for, and their families, are supported as much as possible.
Nick said: “I had a friendly warm welcome from the staff and young adults in the hospice. I came away full of ideas and enthusiasm and keen to set them in motion.”
During the visit the team talked about our exciting data project and the way we are reframing transition support.
Julie Clayton, Chief Executive, said: “We really appreciate the time that Nick took to see how Jigsaw works – we are a small children’s hospice but laser-focused on supporting our babies, children and young people. I’m glad Nick felt that energy and understands the challenges we face serving such a large and remote county.”
