Jigsaw, Cumbria’s only Children’s Hospice, supports babies, children and young adults living with complex medical and life‑limiting conditions, offering person-centred care to each child and supports their family, friends and carers.
Jigsaw’s specialist team provides respite and short breaks in a home-from-home setting, as well as compassionate end‑of‑life care, and ongoing emotional support before and after bereavement. We also offer opportunities and experiences families may not have had otherwise, and help children feel cared for, understood and supported throughout their lifetime.
Jigsaw is a charity, with around 80% of its annual running costs raised by the ongoing generosity and support from the local community and the other 20% funded by the NHS. All the care the hospice provides to its patients and their families is free at the point of delivery.
