Community Fundraiser – Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice

About the role:

Hours are flexible to include some evening and weekend work where required, but one day per week you should be on-site at our hospice in Carlisle,

We are looking to engage a fundraiser to support Jigsaw and facilitate the specialist care that is provided to families across Cumbria. In this role, you will work as an integral part of the Income Generation team to grow community fundraising income and engagement across the south, west and central areas of the county, contributing to the annual income target required to sustain Jigsaw’s specialist care for children and young people.

You will work collaboratively with the Marketing and Income Generation team, receiving support and insights, whilst facilitating the delivery of impactful campaigns and events.

With the support of our volunteers, you will develop and nurture relationships with individuals, groups, schools, and local businesses to inspire and support their fundraising efforts. It would be expected that the person employed, to be able to be present and attend engagements regularly, would be resident in the area of fundraising covered whilst in role.

Ideally suited to someone based in Kendal, Barrow or Ulverston you’ll work remotely, being the face of our Fundraising in the South, West and Centre of the County. This will be through attending events, developing new relationships with local groups and businesses, and championing fundraising in the area’s we provide care for local families. Travel expenses will be reimbursed when undertaking community engagement work.

Please note that this role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be arranged and paid for by the hospice.

Salary: £28,984 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Core working days will be Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, flexibility with working hours is essential along with evening and weekend working as required.

Location: This is a remote working role, with one day a week working from the hospice site in Carlisle. Ideally suited to someone based in Kendal, Barrow or Ulverston, you’ll work remotely, being the face of our Fundraising in the south, west and centre of Cumbria.
