- Wednesday, 02 June 2021
This summer will see the return of a popular fundraising event for Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice as fundraisers undertake a scenic walk across the bay.
On Sunday 18 July, the Cumbrian charity will host their annual Morecambe Bay Walk from Arnside to Kent’s Bank. The wonderful experience will offer fundraisers unbeatable views of the Morecambe Bay, Lancashire Coastline and the Lake District as they complete the 8 mile sponsored walk.
Eleanor Viney, Fundraising Manager at Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, explained “We are delighted to add the Morecambe Bay Walk back onto our events calendar for 2021, during the hospice’s 30th Anniversary celebrations. We know from previous years the beautiful walk has been extremely popular with our fundraisers and we are looking forward to welcoming them back again for the walk this summer.
“Every fundraisers taking part in the walk will be ensuring local people receive vital and specialist care when they need it the most. Every step you take, mile you complete and pound you raise will help local people with life limiting illnesses.”
2021 is a special and significant year for Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw as it marks three decades of caring for local people with life limiting illnesses. For over 30 years the support of the local community has helped to build the hospice, purchase specialist equipment and provide vital care to local people with life limiting illnesses. Every donation helps the local community.
Registration for the Morecambe Bay Walk, which takes approximately 3 hours to complete, is now open and Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw are calling on the local community to sign up now. Click here to sign up today or contact the Fundraising Team on 01228 810801.
